Barcelona quartet Carles Puyol, Sergio Busquets, Cesc Fabregas and Xavi are all in line to return to the starting line-up for Tuesday's clash against Real Madrid after being rested over the weekend.

Defender Adriano is a doubt with a hamstring problem, but assistant coach Jordi Roura has an otherwise clean bill of health.

Madrid welcome back Xabi Alonso (groin), Karim Benzema (knee) and Raphael Varane (muscle strain) from injury.

Sergio Ramos, Fabio Coentrao and Angel Di Maria also return after missing the first leg through suspension, while Kaka is pushing for a start after his match-winning contribution against Deportivo La Coruna on Saturday.

  • Barcelona are on a 22-match unbeaten run at Camp Nou in all competitions (W18, D4).
  • The Catalan giants have won just one of their last six encounters against Real Madrid (W1, D3, L2).
  • Lionel Messi (pictured, right) has scored a club-record 17 goals in 23 Clasico appearances.
  • Real Madrid are facing Barcelona for the 224th time in all competitions. The capital club have 88 wins to Barca's 87.
  • Los Blancos have only won three of their last 10 away matches across all competitions (W3, D3, L4).
  • Cristiano Ronaldo has scored seven goals in his last seven matches against Barcelona.

Manchester City - Chelsea

The home side could also receive a much-needed boost with captain Vincent Kompany currently striving to return from a calf injury in time for the game. If he passes a late fitness test he should return in place of Kolo Toure.

Gareth Barry (knock), however, remains doubtful while Micah Richards (knee) will definitely not feature.

Rafa Benitez is also set to make a variety of changes from the side that drew against Sparta Prague in the Europa League on Thursday, as Frank Lampard, Branislav Ivanovic and Ashley Cole, all rested in that game, should return at the expense of John Obi Mikel, John Terry and Ryan Bertrand.

Eden Hazard, following his late tie-winning contribution in Thursday's game, should also come back into the starting line-up, with Oscar likely to be the man that drops to the bench.

Demba Ba should also, once again, come in for Fernando Torres to lead the line after missing out on the Europa League tie, having already featured in the competition for Newcastle.

  • Manchester City have managed to win just one of their past four Premier League encounters with Chelsea, losing two and drawing the other.
  • Chelsea won 10 of their first 12 away league games against the current champions, but City have won the last three clashes at the Etihad Stadium.
  • Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko has scored six goals in his last seven Premier League appearances
  • The sides are well-matched, with City boasting this season's second-best home record, while the visitors have the second-best away form in the league, with Manchester United leading both tables.
  • Meanwhile, Chelsea's Frank Lampard (pictured) will be looking to score in his fifth consecutive league game for only the third time in his career (having previously done so in 2005 and 2010).
  • The Blues have been awarded eight penalties this season, the most in the Premier League, though their opposition today has, aside from rivals Manchester United, enjoyed the most spot-kicks in the league since the start of last season (14).
  • Fernando Torres will be looking to recover from a torrid recent spell of form if he features here, having scored just one in his last 13 games; against Sparta Prague on Thursday, he had more shots than anyone else on the pitch and not only did he fail to score, but only one of those was on target.
  • The Blues are 13th in the table when it comes to losing the lead in matches this season, having dropped 14 points from winning positions.

UFC 157

So Ronda Rousey (6-0 MMA, 0-0 UFC) and Liz Carmouche (7-2 MMA, 0-0 UFC) are making history on Saturday night at UFC 157 at Honda Center in Anaheim, Calif.

They're the first women ever to headline a pay-per-view event for the promotion (10 p.m. ET following prelims on FX and Facebook). They've broken barriers, garnered fabulous media attention, and are poised to do good business, if the UFC's predictions are accurate.

Great. Let's talk about the fight a little bit.

It's a foregone conclusion to most that Rousey will win on Saturday night. As of today, she is as big as a 14-to-1 favorite to beat Carmouche, an 8-to-1 underdog. That's deep into puncher's chance territory, and against a savvy submission specialist like Rousey, punches lose steam.

Unless, however, they are delivered from top position on the mat. Lost in the gushing over Rousey's takedowns, which indeed are explosive and generally fabulous, is the threat she faces if she winds up on the wrong end of a scramble to the mat. That's where Carmouche repeatedly has excelled as a fighter. What she lacks in striking offense and defense, she makes up in ability to drag down opponents and punish them. And we haven't yet seen Rousey take a solid punch, or a series of them.

Indeed, that's because no one has had the chance. Perhaps the best candidate to test Rousey's chin and grind out a win was Sarah Kaufman. The ex-Strikeforce champ previously had outmuscled Carmouche in the clinch and went on to best Alexis Davis in a brutal slugfest. Rousey, though, tripped her to the mat and made her tap in 54 seconds.

By MMA math, that means Carmouche is merely chum in Rousey's shark tank. The bell should ring, and it should be mere minutes before the UFC belt is being Velcroed to Rousey's waist.

But consider the admittedly slim possibility that Carmouche can resist being judo-tossed to the mat. While Rousey is generally a master at initiating throws from the clinch to set up armbars, she's also been aided by opponents who are completely reactive to her. All of her opponents have made it more of a priority to stop her from doing what she wants to do rather than imposing what they want to do. It starts from the first moment of the first round: Rousey charges, and immediately, opponents are on the defensive. Of course, that's very little time to fire back. Of course, Rousey is an Olympic medal-winning judo player with tremendously refined technique. She wins because it's extraordinarily hard to damage her before she initiates the clinch. But it just takes one well-placed punch or knee to change that.

Could Carmouche come out swinging? Should she attempt to steal Rousey's initiative by powering into a takedown and doing what wrestlers have done since Mark Coleman in dishing out ground and pound? Is her power stronger than Rousey's technique?

We'll see on Saturday.

OTHER MAIN-CARD BOUTS

Dan Henderson (29-8 MMA, 6-2 UFC) vs. Lyoto Machida (18-3 MMA, 10-3 UFC): Recently confirmed as a light-heavyweight title eliminator, this fight features two big-show ex-champs with strikingly different styles. Henderson, 42, is a heavy-handed striker who's an expert at damaging opponents in the clinch; 34-year-old Machida is a technical striker who likes to pick apart opponents from distance. The big unknown coming into the fight is the effect a bad knee injury could have on Henderson, who withdrew from a fight with champ Jon Jones due to an MCL tear this past year. As recently as this past month, the former PRIDE champ admitted his knee was less than 100 percent, and against a fighter such as Machida, that could present big problems in closing the distance to do damage (or get out of the way of kicks and punches). Most fighters don't fare well when they stay on the outside and spar with "The Dragon," which means Henderson is going to have to rush in at one point and tire out the karate black belt against the cage. Whether he's fit to do so is a big question mark. The hard-headed Henderson has never been knocked out, but Machida's pinpoint striking is just the kind of weapon that could change that. On the other hand, Machida has never been smothered against the mat, and Henderson has the skills to make that a reality.

Urijah Faber (26-6 MMA, 2-2 UFC) vs. Ivan Menjivar (25-9 MMA, 4-1 UFC): These bantamweights met seven years ago in an ice skating rink in Canada, and haven't changed one bit since then. But seriously, they can't even be compared to their earlier incarnations, which for Faber was the wrestler/boxer and Menjivar the free-wheeling striker/jiu-jitsu guy. They're both highly evolved combatants now and fighting in the correct weight division, though they sit at different points in their career after so long apart. Faber has spent the better part of a half-decade as the face of lighter-weight fighters while Menjivar has been retired. The veteran returned from a long layoff due to injuries and lack of full-time fighting opportunities, and he immediately made his presence known in the UFC. He's 4-1 in the octagon fighting mostly lower-tier fighters. Faber, meanwhile, has fought nothing but top-tier competition, and he's gone 2-2 in the UFC. Both have served extended careers in MMA and are probably closer than most to hanging up their gloves. But Faber may need a win even more than Menjivar. Like the recently released Jon Fitch, he's a fairly big line item to be promoted on an event's preliminary card, and as UFC President Dana White noted, expenses are being trimmed to keep spending in line. Menjivar doesn't have the same stature and is well at home on FX or a Facebook-streamed fight card. While Faber believes he's still in the running for a title shot, another loss could be fatal to his octagon career. That means he could play it safe against Menjivar, who's a great scrambler but not as good a wrestler on the mat.

Court McGee (13-3 MMA, 3-2 UFC) vs. Josh Neer (33-12-1 MMA, 6-8 UFC): This is another high-stakes bout for these welterweights, who both hope to rebound from recent losses. For McGee, who won "The Ultimate Fighter 11" as a middleweight, it's a second chance to start a title run after back-to-back losses at 185 pounds. For Neer, it's a final chance to avoid costly mistakes after his aggressive style put two additional losses on his resume. Given the circumstances, it's all but certain McGee will attempt to exploit Neer's longstanding weakness on the mat, where previous opponents have smothered him. Neer's task will be to give McGee enough pause in the cinch to back him off, where his brawling style frequently wears opponents down.

Josh Koscheck (17-6 MMA, 15-6 UFC) vs. Robbie Lawler (19-9 MMA, 4-3 UFC): The veteran fighters promise a brisk start to UFC 157's main card, though given their respective strengths, it's a toss-up whether the fight will be a barnburner or snoozer. Onetime welterweight title challenger Koscheck has padded his record by knocking out middle-of-the-road strikers. But against Lawler, whose devastating power is well-documented, he could return to the game plan that served him well against a similar threat in Paul Daley. Rather than take a left hand that could remove him from consciousness, Koscheck took the fight to the ground and kept it there. And while Lawler's sprawl is far better than Daley's, it's a big question mark whether he'll be able to contend with Koscheck's world-class takedowns and wrestling. Lawler, as well, is a hot-and-cold fighter whose motivation seems to wane from minute to minute in a fight. This is his big chance to reinvent himself in the UFC, which he left nine years ago. But we won't know until the first few minutes where his head is.

QPR vs Manchester United

Harry Redknapp is still without Jose Bosingwa (back) and Andrew Johnson (knee) but is expected to welcome back a host of previously injured players.

Fabio (hip), Junior Hoilett (hamstring) and Julio Cesar (groin) could all be selected after returning from their respective problems, while striker Loic Remy is also in contention despite a groin problem.

Bobby Zamora could also start, having come off the bench in QPR's last two matches, while Esteban Granero, Andros Townsend and Jermaine Jenas will present Redknapp with a selection dilemma in midfield.

The visitors, meanwhile, will be without Paul Scholes (knee), Wayne Rooney (illness) and Phil Jones (ankle).

However, Sir Alex Ferguson boasts an otherwise fully fit squad and has the rare luxury of not having a midweek game the following week.

Nani and Chicharito may be in contention for starting roles after their goalscoring exploits against Reading, while Rio Ferdinand could also feature in defence.

  • ottom-placed QPR are currently 48 points behind league-leaders Manchester United and have not beaten the Red Devils since New Year's Day in 1992.
  • Since the turn of the year, Harry Redknapp's side have won once and drawn four times in the Premier League, though they slumped to a 4-1 defeat in their last game at Swansea.
  • Rangers enjoyed just 39% of possession in their loss at the Liberty Stadium and have registered the minority share of possession in their last nine Premier League matches.
  • The Rs have also won just twice in the league this term (against Chelsea and Fulham), though that is already one more than the record for the fewest wins in a season - held by Derby County for their 2007/08 campaign.
  • Manchester United are unbeaten in 14 league matches and 16 games in all competitions. Their last domestic defeat came in mid-November at Norwich City.
  • The Red Devils are comfortably clear at the top of table with a 12 point lead - a gap bigger than at any point last season.
  • United's three top scorers this term, Robin van Persie, Chicharito (pictured) and Wayne Rooney have scored 51 goals in all competitions between them so far.

Arsenal vs Aston Villa

Wilshere, Arteta, Cazorla
Podolski, Giroud, Walcott
 ASTON VILLA

Guzan
Lowton, Vlaar, Clark, Bennett
Delph, Westwood, Ireland
Weimann, Agbonlahor
Benteke

Arsenal will be without Bacary Sagna (knee) after he injured himself in the 3-1 defeat to Bayern Munich in midweek, so Carl Jenkinson should start at right back, with the Englishman's three-match suspension having run its course.

Kieran Gibbs (thigh) remains sidelined so Nacho Monreal will return at left back after being cup-tied for the Champions League tie. Per Mertesacker will therefore probably make way and Thomas Vermaelen will move back to center back.

Olivier Giroud could start the game after he was introduced from the bench during the week, while Mikel Arteta will face competition from a fit again Abou Diaby in central midfield.

Aston Villa, meanwhile, could have Charles N'Zogbia (knee) back, although he may start from the bench. Richard Dunne (groin and hip) suffered a setback in his recovery , so is unlikely to play, elsewhere in defence, Chris Herd (foot) is also out.

Mark Albrighton (foot) and Gary Gardner (knee) remain long-term absentees, while Fabian Delph came through unscathed against West Ham so should continue in the starting XI. Paul Lambert may also have Gabriel Agbonlahor and Karim El Ahmadi back in contention after they missed the clash with the Hammers with illness.

  • Arsenal has only scored one goal fewer (50) than it had at this point of its ‘Invincibles’ season of 2003-04.
  • Arsene Wenger's side havs created fewer goalscoring chances from corners than any other side this season.
  • The Gunners have won only two of their last six home games against The Villans in the Premier League.
  • Defeat to the Midlands outfit would be the north Londoner's third home loss in a row, the first time they've been on such a run at the Emirates Stadium.
  • Aston Villa has only scored 16 goals in 20 away trips to Arsenal in the Premier League.
  • Christian Benteke (pictured) has now scored in five successive appearances for Aston Villa in all competitions.
  • Villa has been shown more yellow cards than any other Premier League team this season (54), while Arsenal has been shown the least (24).

Fulham boss Martin Jol is set to be without Mahamadou Diarra once more, with Emmanuel Frimpong and Giorgos Karagounis left to compete for a place in midfield alongside Steve Sidwell.

The Cottagers may stick with Hugo Rodallega up front and Dimitar Berbatov in support, as they did against Norwich, though Urby Emanuelson could come in for Bryan Ruiz on the wing.

Kieran Richardson (calf) faces a late test but probably will not make the starting line-up, but Kerim Frei and Simon Davies are still out. In defence Sascha Riether (illness) should return, while Chris Baird (illness) may make the bench.

Stoke boss Tony Pulis includes Marc Wilson and January signing Brek Shea in his squad after both players recovered from long-term injuries, with the former likely to be handed his first start since suffering a broken leg against Sunderland in October.

Jon Walters should continue in an attacking role behind Peter Crouch, but Cameron Jerome (knee) is also pushing to be fit in time. Michael Owen, however, is a major doubt following a thigh injury picked up in training.

TOTTENHAM

FriedelWalker, Gallas, Caulker, Naughton
Dembele, Parker
Lennon, Dempsey, Bale
Adebayor

Lyon manager Remi Garde has no fresh injury concerns ahead of Les Gones’ second-leg clash with Tottenham, though Yoann Gourcuff (hamstring) remains sidelined.

Steed Malbranque was not in the squad for Lyon's 4-0 win over Bordeaux on Sunday, while his replacement, Clement Grenier, grabbed two goals and an assist which could see him start against Spurs.

Tottenham is without its top scorer in the Europa League Jermain Defoe (ankle), while Younes Kaboul (knee) is still several weeks away from returning to first-team duty.

With Tom Huddlestone (knee) a doubt for the match and Brazilian enforcer Sandro (also knee) out for the remainder of the season, Scott Parker and Mousa Dembele are likely to continue in midfield.

Andre Villas-Boas may rotate his squad with one eye on Monday night's Premier League clash with West Ham, so Steven Caulker and Kyle Naughton could slot back into the defense.

Spurs' Portuguese boss has opted to rotate his goalkeepers in Europe, which means Brad Friedel is likely to start and thus deny ex-Lyon shot-stopper Hugo Lloris a reunion with his former club.

Liverpool vs Zenit

LIVERPOOL

Gerrard, Lucas, Allen
Sterling, Suarez, Downing
ZENIT ST PETERSBERG

Malafeev
Anyukov, Neto, Hubocan, Lombaerts
Witsel, Danny, Denisov
Shirokov, Kerzhakov, Hulk

 Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers will be forced to make at least two changes from the side which beat Swansea City 5-0 on Sunday - with both Daniel Sturridge and Philippe Coutinho cup-tied after appearing in Europe earlier in the season for Chelsea and Inter respectively.

Martin Skrtel could come in to face his former club in place of Jamie Carragher, while Joe Allen and Raheem Sterling may well also get an opportunity to impress from the start. Fabio Borini misses out after being ruled out for the rest of the season after dislocating his shoulder against the Swans.

For the visitors, Luciano Spalletti could well name the same starting line-up as that which started the first-leg tie in Russia. This would mean scorer Sergey Semak will again have to settle for a place on the bench.

Axel Witsel is poised to start in midfield alongside Danny and Igor Denisov, while Hulk will again be expected to support Aleksandr Kerzhakov by coming in from his wide position.

  • Liverpool have lost three games in the Europa League this season - with fellow Russian side Anzhi Makhachkala and Serie A outfit Udinese joining Zenit in beating the Reds.
  • Martin Skrtel made 92 appearances and scored three goals for Zenit before moving to Anfield in 2007.
  • The Reds have won the Uefa Cup (now the Europa League) three times - back in 1973, 1976 and 2001.
  • Luis Suarez is 4/1 to score the first goal in the game with Coral.
  • Aleksandr Korsakov (pictured right), has an impressive scoring record for the club - he has netted 52 times in 94 matches so far.
  • Zenit won the Uefa Cup back in 2008 - when they beat Rangers 2-0 in the final at Manchester City’s stadium.
  • Current boss Luciano Spalletti has been in control of the club since taking over in December 2009. He has previously managed a host of Italian sides including Sampdoria, Udinese and Roma.

For the home side, Demba Ba is cup tied having appeared for Newcastle in the competition this season, so Fernando Torres should lead the line.

Chelsea may start with a strong side as it looks to wrap up the tie, with manager Rafael Benitez expected to rotate if a victory is secured.

Meanwhile, the Blues have no new injury or suspension worries ahead of this game, with David Luiz available again.

For Sparta, Jiri Jarosik missed the first leg with injury but should be fit for this game and, despite his poor finishing in the first leg, striker David Lafata should continue up front.

  • The first leg of this tie was Chelsea’s first game in this competition since the 2002-03 season.
  • Brazilian Oscar (pictured) was on the pitch for less than a minute before he scored the winning goal in the first leg last week.
  • Before the first-leg clash, these teams last met in the group stage of the 2003-04 Champions League, with the Blues taking four points from the two games.
  • Sparta Prague has never won a major club competition organized by UEFA.
  • Sparta captain Marek Matejovsky spent two seasons with Reading in the Premier League, making 51 appearances for the Royals and scoring twice.
  • The club’s most famous run in a European competition came in the first ever Champions League in the 1991-92 season, when it defeated Rangers and Marseille to reach the semifinal stage.

AC Milan will assess forward Stephan El Shaarawy (knee) ahead of the Champions League last-16 clash against Barcelona.

Mario Balotelli is cup-tied and Nigel de Jong is sidelined with an ankle injury, but Giampaolo Pazzini (hamstring) is available.

Elsewhere, Daniele Bonera (thigh) and Robinho (knee) are doubts, while Philippe Mexes returns after serving a one-game European ban.

Barcelona are boosted by the return of playmaker Xavi, who has recovered from a hamstring problem.

With Nacho Monreal cup tied, Kieran Gibbs (thigh) injured and Andre Santos loaned out to Gremio last week, Thomas Vermaelen is likely to be utilized at left back by Arsene Wenger.

Javi Martinez (toe) missed Bayern's last game against Wolfsburg, but should return for the runaway Bundesliga leader.

Claudio Pizarro (illness) and Holger Badstuber (knee) will miss out for the Germans, while Jerome Boateng is suspended.

  • Arsenal and Bayern Munich have met four times before in the Champions League, with the Gunners victorious just once.
  • Their last meeting was also at the Champions League last 16 stage, which the German side won 3-2 on aggregate in 2004-05.

Kebe, Tabb, McAnuff, Robson-Kanu
Pogrebnyak

 Following Manchester United's battling 1-1 draw against Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu on Wednesday night, Sir Alex Ferguson will most likely introduce some fresh faces when Reading visit on Monday.
Darren Fletcher is the only player definitely ruled out due to his bowel illness, while Paul Scholes is still a few weeks away from a return after suffering a knee problem.
Should Sir Alex decide to rest players, the likes of Alexander Buttner, Nani, Anderson and Ashley Young could all start, and Nemanja Vidic should return following his rest on Wednesday night.
While United were giving their all in Madrid, Brian McDermott took his side to Dubai for a warm-weather training camp and he will have the majority of his squad available at Old Trafford.
Striker Jason Roberts (knee) remains a few weeks from a return to the Reading line-up meaning Pavel Pogrebnyak may retain his place in attack with Adam Le Fondre available from the bench.
Reading's only other definite absentee is goalkeeper Alex McCarthy (shoulder) and he looks set to miss another couple of months' worth of action.

  • Manchester United have emerged victorious in 15 of their last 19 FA Cup matches at Old Trafford, losing just two.
  • Seven goals were scored in the first 35 minutes when the two sides met at the Madejski Stadium earlier this season.
  • United have won the FA Cup on each previous occasion that they have defeated Fulham in the fourth round (1999 and 2004).
  • The Red Devils' last loss to Reading came in this competition back in 1927.
  • In his last seven Reading appearances, Le Fondre (pictured right) has seven goals.
  • The Royals have only ever been past the fifth round twice.
  • Their record against sides from the same division in the FA Cup is very poor having won one of 12 matches.

WWE Elimination Chamber 2013

The event will feature six wrestling matches, all of which will have major implications for WrestleMania. The one actual Elimination Chamber match will determine who will challenge for the World Heavyweight title at MetLife Stadium. The main event between The Rock and CM Punk will determine who John Cena faces for the WWE title in April.
The Rock might be the only overwhelming favorite to win his match. There have been rumors for months that the current WWE champion has been set to fight Cena in a WrestleMania rematch.
There is a chance that a few big names could make an appearance, even though they are not on the match card. The Undertaker has not appeared on “Monday Night Raw” since his WrestleMania 28 match against Triple H, but it assumed that he will compete at this year’s event. Brock Lesnar could also be in New Orleans, after recently returning to television.

Liverpool vs Swansea

SWANSEA

VormRangel, Williams, Monk, Davies Dyer, De Guzman, Ki, Hernandez, Routledge Michu

Liverpool have very few new concerns going into this game. Daniel Sturridge remains sidelined with a thigh injury, although he could make the bench.

Other than that, manager Brendan Rodgers has no new worries, although he may rotate his squad given their Europa League trip to Russia on Thursday night.

Swansea also have few injury concerns going into the match at Anfield.

Midfielder Leon Britton is a doubt for this game with an ankle injury, although he may make the bench and Chico Flores (ankle) is a long-term injury problem, and may not be available until next month.

  • Liverpool are without a win in four games in all competitions, but have won five of their last seven home games in the league.
  • The Reds have not scored against the Swans since they were promoted to the Premier League last season, drawing two and losing one.
  • Liverpool are the first team in Europe’s top five leagues to have 500 shots this season.
  • These teams have faced each other twice in all competitions this season. They played out a 0-0 at the Liberty Stadium in the Premier League while Swansea took a 3-1 win in their Capital One Cup clash thanks to goals from Chico Flores, Jonathan de Guzman and Nathan Dyer (pictured).
  • Swansea have won just one of their last six away games in the league.
  • Michael Laudrup's men have conceded just five goals in the opening 30 minutes of games in the Premier League, the joint least with Stoke and Tottenham.

Manchester City vs Leeds United

Manchester City host Championship side Leeds United at the Etihad on Sunday as the reigning Premier League Champions look to progress into the Quarter finals of the FA Cup and keep themselves in contention for a trophy this season. Meanwhile, Leeds will be hoping that their second meeting this season with a top three Premier League side goes better than planned after their 5-1 drubbing at the hands of Chelsea in the quarter finals of the Capital One Cup earlier in the season.

Manchester City have fallen 12 points behind league leaders Manchester United after their shock 3-1 defeat to Southampton at St.Mary's last week. Roberto Mancini has repeatedly asserted that his job is not under threat, but given the precedence set by Chelsea and their owner Roman Abramovich, it is unlikely that the Italian will survive the summer without delivering silverware. City were 1-0 winners over Stoke City in the fourth round when Pablo Zabaleta scored a late goal to seek the champions through. If City manages to win the FA Cup this year, it will be their second win in three years, having won the cup in 2011.

On the other hand, Leeds United will be buoyed by the fact that they got the better of City when the last time these two teams met, incidentally in the Premier League with Stephen McPhail and Mark Viduka scoring for Leeds, while Nicholas Anelka pulled one back for City. However, much has transpired over the nine years and it will be unfair to compare the two teams in their current state. Leeds will be determined to prove themselves worthy of a return to the Premier League, having already got the better of Tottenham Hotspur in the fourth round and will fancy an under pressure City who have all to lose going into this match. Leeds are currently 12th in the League table, eight points off Middlesbrough who are sixth and in contention for a place in the play-offs. However, Leeds have encountered a dry spell since the turn of the year and have one only one of their last five matches in all competitions, including their 2-1 win over Tottenham.

City are set to welcome back Vincent Kompany into the squad with the defender having recovered from a calf injury which kept him out of the squad for over a month. Micah Richards is the only player to be ruled out with the England International suffering from a knee injury.
Probable Line Up:Hart; Maicon, Kompany, Nastasic, Kolarov; Silva, Rodwell, Y.Toure, Milner; Dzeko, Tevez
Leeds United manager Neil Warnock has a full side to choose with no players currently ruled out owing to injury.
Probable Line Up: Kenny; Green, Peltier, Lees, Warnock; Byram, Brown, Norris; Diouf, Morison, Varney

John Terry (knee) could return for Sunday's FA Cup replay against Brentford despite suffering a setback with his injury The Chelsea skipper traveled to Prague in the Europa League with the rest of the squad after missing the win over Wigan with inflammation on his knee, and was expected to figure against Sparta, only to be kept on the bench.
Ashley Cole also missed the midweek tie with a cold and is expected to replace Ryan Bertrand at Stamford Bridge on Sunday. Victor Moses and John Obi Mikel could feature after returning from Africa Cup of Nations duty with Nigeria. Apart from that, Rafa Benitez has no fresh injury concerns.

Brentford boss Uwe Rosler is without Farid El Alagui (knee) and Kevin O'Connor (ankle) who remain on the sidelines with long-term injuries. Excluding those two absentees, the Bees' manager has a full-strength side to select from.

Broner vs Rees

Adrien “The Problem” Broner, 25-0 (21), makes his first WBC lightweight title defense Saturday at Boardwalk Hall, in Atlantic City, NJ, against British and European lightweight champion Gavin “The Rock” Rees, 37-1-1 (18), from Wales, UK. This will be the HBO main event promoted by Golden Boy Promotions.

Though Rees is Ranked No. 15 in the WBC he is No. 2 in the WBA while No. 1 is Richard Abril and the title vacant. Why he passed on this to take on the more dangerous Broner time will tell. He is also No. 5 in the WBO. His only loss was back in 2008 for the WBA light welterweight title losing in the final round to Andriy Kotelnyk. He has since won 10 and had a technical draw with Dery Mathews. In his last fight in July of 2012 he stopped Mathews.

Broner, is like the second coming of Aaron “The Hawk” Pryor with both coming out of Cincinnati, OH. He has stopped 15 of his last 16 opponents. He stopped Antonio DeMarco in his last fight in November to win the lightweight title. He had previously won the WBO Super featherweight title in November of 2011 stopping Vicente Martin Rodriguez. He defended that title twice including stopping Vicente Escobar, 26-4 (15), who fight’s on the undercard against Edner Cherry, 30-6-2 (16).

NABF super middleweight champion Sakio “The Scorpian” Bika, 30-5-2 (21) of Australia now living in L.A. meets Nikola Siekioca, 25-0 (17), of Serbia, now living in Montenegro, who won the WBC International super middleweight title in 2011. Bika best known for his appearance in “the Contender” series has fought for world titles with WBC champ Markus Beyer (TD2), IBF/WBO Joe Calzaghe (L12) and WBA Super champ Andre Ward (L12).

Philadelphia’s Demitrius “The Gladiator” Hopkins, 32-2-1 (12) meets Charles “Killa” Whittaker, 39-13-2 (23), of Miami, FL, who defends his USBA title over 12. Olympian, Escobedo, 26-4 (15), of Woodland, CA, takes on Edner Cherry, 30-6-2 (16), of Wauchula, FL, in a super featherweight 10.

Olympian Rau’shee Warren, 2-0 (0), of Cincinnati meets Ricardo Hernandez, 5-0 (1), in a bantamweight 4. Robert Easter, 2-0 (2), of Cincinnati meets Jose Valderrama, 2-3 (2), in a welter 4. Philadelphia’s Wahid Raheem, 3-0 (1), meets Ismael Serrano, making his debut in a super featherweight 4. Jamel Herring, 1-0 (0), of Coram, NY, meets Carlos Lopez, 4-2 (0), in a light welter 4.

Injuries have caused several key fights to be postponed. Danny Garcia’s bout against Zab Judah is now scheduled in April after Garcia suffered a rib injury. The fight most of us had looked forward to seeing on Saturday, the undercard rematch of heavyweights Johnathon Banks and Seth Mitchell, got derailed when Banks broke a finger in training.
So we’re left with Saturday night’s event from Atlantic City featuring Adrien “The Problem” Broner (25-0, 21 KOs) fighting former junior welterweight titleholder Gavin Rees of Wales (37-1-1, 18 KOs), who signed on after Ricky Burns of Scotland dropped out, reportedly because he wanted too big a payday, and moved up to lightweight.
Broner styles himself as a Floyd Mayweather type fighter and the heir apparent to Money, working his defensive skills along with his punching power inside the ring, while talking smack and showing off outside the ring.
Promoter hype aside, Broner, admittedly still young at age 23, hasn’t stepped up to face any true quality opponents. When Mayweather was Broner’s age, he’d already beaten Diego Corrales, then Jose Luis Castillo twice. In short order he went on to beat Arturo Gatti, Zab Judah, Oscar de la Hoya (now the promoter of Saturday's event) and Ricky Hatton along with other lesser players. Mayweather has earned the right to mouth off.
Broner is a talent, but he still falls into the ranks of “up and coming” talent. Arrive, and he earns the right to sing his own praises all he wants when he can back it up. As long as he cultivates serious training habits and lets his skills do the talking inside the ring, keeping the circus act outside the ring (including his wackadoo daddy), Broner will be a champion for many years and he’ll deserve the big bucks and fame of his mentor.
But it won’t come from this fight. No disrespect to the tough Rees, but being able to take a punch does not make you an opponent to be feared. This is the first fight in the U.S. for Rees. His opponents don’t count for much, when you fight guys with records like 2-36, 8-40, and 26-110. Come on. Rees isn’t likely to have a lot of fans in the Atlantic City audience. Rees will probably hang in there for more rounds than Broner’s previous opponents, but this isn’t saying a whole lot.
Broner has the speed of the best fighters, and enough punching power to get the job done, if not the potential for that single wicked blow. He employs the same sort of shoulder rolling, frustrating defense like Mayweather, which forces his opponents to try and get inside on him. But when they do, they get burned up close by Broner’s speed.
Broner easily made the 135 lightweight limit at weigh-in Friday afternoon at 134 pounds; Rees weighed 134.5. Broner hasn’t always had the best training habits, including the infamous failure to make weight for a fight last July after posting photos of Twinkies and Twix candy bars, laughing about being a junk food junkie. No Adrien, you will never ever live that one down with me.
Broner came to the scales Friday with a soda can in his hand, getting on the scale with it and taking a swig. Was he paid to promote the brand name, or just showing off that he could drink a sugary soda on the scale and still easily make weight? That’s how Broner rolls. He then proceeded to yak in Rees’ ear, while Rees refused to turn toward him and pose for the traditional face-off. Rees grabbed Broner’s championship belt as it to say, “I’m going to take this off you Saturday night.” Sorry Gavin, but that’s as close as you’re getting to having that belt.
Without the Banks-Mitchell undercard, we’ll get to see Sakio Bika vs. Nikola Sjekloca as the warm-up act. Both weighted 167.5 pounds for this super welterweight title elimination fight. Once in a blue moon, a fighter gets a chance like this on a much bigger stage and makes the most of it. Bika (30-5-2, 21 KOs), age 33, might be best known for winning the reality TV show “The Contender” in 2007. He was on the 2000 Olympic team for Camaroon, and now fights out of Australia.
Sjekloca (25-0, 7 KOs), age 34, is from Montenegro and has made easy work of his opponents in Europe so far. This is his first fight in the U.S., so we’ll see how he likes the Jersey Shore air in Atlantic City.
The undercard also includes non-televised fights featuring 2012 U.S. Olympic Team members Rau’Shee Warren and Jamel Herring, along with junior middleweight axtion between Charles Whittaker and Demetrius Hopkins, and Vicente Escobedo against Edner Cherry in a junior lightweight matchup.

~~~~~
Gavin Rees is not a bum.
He's 37-1 with 18 KOs, and he's held a major title in his career, but he has never faced a fighter of Adrien Broner's class.
Part of the reason for that is because when he does meet The Problem on Saturday night at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, it will be the first time he's fought in the United States.
Combine his relatively weak level of competition with his lack of notoriety in America, and you have an opponent that most boxing fans could care less about. The only reason most know who he is now is because he's about to come face to face with the Problem.
There are no sure things in boxing—or in any sport—but Broner defeating Rees is pretty close to it.
He has the advantage in age, speed, power and overall athleticism. The only thing that could possibly impede him is overconfidence.
While that might seem like an issue for a young man as brash as Broner, don't be fooled by the show. He takes boxing very seriously and he has tons of pride. The carefree attitude is part of the persona he's created to make himself more marketable.
The only fighters in the sport that are more polarizing is Floyd Mayweather, Jr. and Manny Pacquiao, and that is primarily because they have had long careers to build their legend.
Broner's career is still relatively young.
He's only 23 years old, and this will be his 26th professional fight. He has ascended to this status rather rapidly, and because of that he's at a point where beating up guys like Rees won't advance his career much.
Many people say that Broner is trying to be like Mayweather—and I certainly agree with that to a degree—and many have accused Floyd of ducking fighters in his career. But take a look at Mayweather's resume and tell me there aren't quality fighters there.
He's defeated Genaro Hernandez, the late Diego Corrales, Oscar De La Hoya, Shane Mosley, Miguel Cotto, Arturo Gatti, Zab Judah and others.
Without those wins, he wouldn't be as loved by some and hated by others because there would be no validation to his greatness. Mayweather has created the persona Broner is trying to emulate, but part of the process is fighting and defeating good fighters.
Broner did that when he demolished Antonio Demarco, but barring something truly shocking this fight against Rees is nothing more than a public workout.
If Broner wants to ascend to the area he's fully capable of occupying, he needs to defeat some quality guys.
As I said, he's only 23, so I'm not accusing him of taking on weak opposition in his career just yet, but soon this type of opponent won't be acceptable for a fighter of his caliber.
UFC on FUEL TV Barao vs McDonald
An interim title will be defended for the first time in years tomorrow (Feb. 16, 2013) as UFC Interim Bantamweight Champion Renan Barao battles challenger Michael McDonald in the main event of UFC on FUEL TV 7 in London, England.
Barao has gone 30 fights without defeat, hands down the longest active streak in MMA today. He rose to the top of the UFC bantamweight division, stepping in place of injured champion Dominick Cruz to defeat Urijah Faber for the interim title last summer.
McDonald has some of the best punching power at 135 pounds. Already 4-0 in his UFC career and having just turned 22 years old, McDonald has the opportunity to become the youngest champion in UFC history if he can knock Barao off his pedestal tomorrow.
Will Barao retain the the interim title? Can McDonald set a record? What's the key to victory for both men tomorrow?
Renan Barao
Record: 29-1 (1 No Contest) overall, 9-0 in the UFC
Key Wins: Urijah Faber (UFC 149), Scott Jorgensen (UFC 143), Brad Pickett (UFC 138)
Key Losses: none
How he got here: After losing the first fight of his professional career, Barao hasn't since tasted defeat. While the Brazilian didn't exactly face top talent while competing in his native country, he fought often, as many as seven times per year.
After his 24th straight bout without a loss, he finally earned an invite to the WEC, where he would submit Anthony Leone via armbar in his promotional debut. Barao competed on the final WEC 53 event, also submitting Chris Cariaso with a slick transition from a Kimura to taking the American's back before choking him out.
In his UFC debut, Barao had a tough battle with former WEC champion Cole Escovedo but would eventually earn a unanimous decision victory. He followed it up by going into Brad Pickett's homeland at UFC 138 and completely and utterly crushing the Brit by knocking him down in the first round and then choking him out to instantly burst into contention.
He scored a huge follow-up victory over former title challenger Scott Jorgensen earlier last year to put him over the top for an interim title shot, and he would capitalize on the opportunity, handily defeating Urijah Faber over the course of five rounds to walk away with the belt.
Now, he's looking to defend the title against a very powerful and dangerous challenger in McDonald.
How he gets it done: In this fight, Renan Barao needs to either keep his distance, or get to the canvas. His striking has progressed very quickly and he's capable of scoring points with a vast array of kicking attacks and he can also explode forward with the occasional knee. If the bout is standing, he can't let McDonald get inside as "Mayday" has some very powerful short strikes.
Barao showcased much improved boxing in his last two fights and his overall game is rounding out nicely. If he feels he's got a speed and technique edge, he's going to keep this fight standing, but he should constantly keep the threat of the takedown there as he's so aggressive on the canvas that he might simply be able to overwhelm McDonald there.
If he can force a scramble, Barao is lightning quick with his ability to hop onto his opponent's back and once there, a fight-ending rear naked choke is almost inevitable. Look for the young Brazilian to perhaps try to reverse a takedown attempt or maybe even shoot for one of his own if McDonald is on his heels in the striking.
Expect anything and everything from this young star in the making as he has grown by leaps and bounds in nearly all of his skills. Something to keep in mind is that Barao was easily able to go five rounds in his last bout, while McDonald has never seen a championship round in his career and has slowed down in fights that went the distance.
Michael McDonald
Record: 15-1 overall, 4-0 in the UFC
Key Wins: Miguel Torres (UFC 145), Chris Cariaso (UFC 130), Edwin Figueroa (UFC Fight Night 24)
Key Losses: Cole Escovedo (PFC 13)
How he got here: Michael McDonald got off to an incredible early start in his mixed martial arts career. He debuted professionally in 2007 at just 16 years old and crushed everyone in his path. In his first year, he went 6-0 with six first round stoppage victories. This earned him a step up in competition although it may have been too much, too fast as he suffered his first career defeat at the hands of former WEC champion Cole Escovedo.
"Mayday" bounced back by defeating former WEC title challenger Manny Tapia and then avenging his loss to Escovedo, knocking both men out while fighting for the Tachi Palace promotion.
He made his WEC debut at just 19 years old, earning a victory over Clint Godfrey via submission in the first round and the hype really starting building. He had a rough go of it in his first two UFC bouts, winning hard-fought decisions over lesser competition although he got back on track at UFC 139 with a blistering clean 56 second knockout of Alex Soto.
In his last bout, McDonald faced another former WEC champion in Miguel Torres and he dominated "Angel," finishing him via brutal knockout inside the first round to earn a shot at the belt. Now, an opportunity to become the youngest champion in UFC history is in his grasp.
How he gets it done: While McDonald is very well-rounded, it's his hands which are going to be the difference in this fight. Renan Barao is better than him in terms of submissions and sweeps on the ground so I wouldn't recommend him taking the fight there unless he hurts the Nova Uniao first, and even then he should be cautious.
McDonald has serious power in both fists and he's got a very quick first step. The biggest key for him is to find a way to get inside Barao's reach and connect solidly on the champion's jaw. Footwork is going to be incredibly important as McDonald already has speed, so it'll be all about position.
Something else to keep in mind is that time is not on McDonald's side. His best performances of his Zuffa career have all come when he scores early stoppages while the worst have all come when he's gone the distance. McDonald needs to be aggressive early in this fight because it's unlikely he'll be able to win if it goes all five rounds anyways so he should put some extra effort into knocking Barao's block off as quick as possible.
Arsenal vs Blackburn
Gervinho, Rosicky, Oxlade-Chamberlain
BLACKBURN ROVERS
KeanOrr, Dann, Hanley, Olsson
Arsene Wenger looks set to rotate his squad from the team that overcame Sunderland in a 1-0 win last Saturday, as he appears intent upon resting some of his key players ahead of their Champions League clash with Bayern Munich on Tuesday.
Ignasi Miquel, having come on as a late substitute in the win against the Black Cats, looks set to deputize at center back, as Thomas Vermaelen (ankle) and Laurent Koscielny (calf) continue to struggle with injury.
There are further repercussions from their exertions against Sunderland as Jack Wilshere's dead leg in that tie rules him out of this FA Cup clash. Carl Jenkinson is also ruled out with suspension after his red card in the same game.
Theo Walcott, Aaron Ramsey, Santi Cazorla and Oliver Giroud are also likely to be rested from the team that started the Sunderland game, with Abou Diaby, Gervinho, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Tomas Rosicky and Lukas Podolski coming in, as their manager clearly has one eye on their Champions League game in midweek.
Blackburn, meanwhile, will look to play a full-strength side as manager Michael Appleton appears ready to keep faith in the team that earned a hard-fought 1-1 draw against Brighton last Saturday.
The one change that is likely to be made, however, comes in the form of the experienced Morten Gamst-Pedersen replacing DJ Campbell, with Colin Kazim-Richards assuming a role alongside the free-scoring Jordan Rhodes upfront.
Jake Kean, meanwhile, looks set to keep his place in goal as former England international Paul Robinson remains out-of-favor with new boss Appleton.
