Brisbane Broncos vs St George Dragons

Brisbane continues to walk the tightrope and keep their slim final hopes alive.
The Broncos have had to do it the hard way the past fortnight, taking on and beating the Cowboys in Townsville and then travelling to Newcastle last week, where they toughed at a draw.
The equation is simple for the Broncos, they must win. A loss will spell the end of their season however, being led by their Origin players in Hodges, Thaiday and Parker, the Broncos are certainly giving it their all.
After two tough weeks on the road, they’ll appreciate playing at home despite the poor record at Suncorp this year that has seen them win only three of their eight games.
Their opponents this weekend languish near the bottom of the competition ladder, having only won six games this season.
They’ve only won one of their past six however, their most recent performances would indicate they’re capable of giving Brisbane grieve.
They took South Sydney to and defeated them in, Golden Point time before a four point loss to Canberra and last week, although the final score-line read 39 – 20, it was only the final stages of the game that the Bulldogs were able to put the decision beyond doubt.
Brisbane were comfortable victors back in round 3 (22 – 6) when the two sides last met and whilst that was Brisbane’s fifth consecutive win over St. George, the margin of the victories prior to that had never exceeded eight points.
Would expect to see a similar final scoreline here with Brisbane desperate and at home, to be enough to see them across the line.
