NASCAR Kobalt Tools 400

The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series continues on Sunday with the Kobalt Tools 400 at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. It's the third race of the season and will feature all of the top names, as expected.

One wrinkle this year is that Friday's qualifying had to be cancelled due to the rain and the starting lineup for the race on Sunday will be determined by owner points from 2012 and 2013. That puts Brad Keselowski up front, as he was the Sprint Cup Champion in 2012. Clint Bowyer and Jimmie Johnson will be right behind him.

Johnson currently sits atop the Sprint Cup standings after the first two races, which included a win in the Daytona 500. Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Brad Keselowski both have 82 points to slot in right behind him. Carl Edwards won the Subway Fresh Fit 500 last Sunday and he's at 11th in the overall standings.


The Kobalt Tools 400 is scheduled for March 10 at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
Tony Stewart was the winner in 2012 and will be competing again. This will be the third race of the 2013 Sprint Cup Series season.
