Miami Heat vs Charlotte Bobcats
The Miami Heat look to make light work of the Charlotte Bobcats from Time Warner Cable Arena tonight.
Head to head, the Heat are 4-1 ATS in the last 5 meetings while the favorite is 4-1 ATS in the last 5 meetings. The Bobcats are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall, but just 9-24-2 ATS in their last 35 home games vs. a team with a winning road record and 16-35 ATS in their last 51 home games. The Heat on the other hand are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games playing on 2 days rest and 12-4 ATS in their last 16 road games, but just 2-5 ATS in their last 7 road games vs. a team with a home winning % of less than .400.
What do ya know, the Charlotte Bobcats finally have some positive against the spread stats to backup their recent good play at home. Following their hard fought 88-83 home win over the visiting Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday night, the Bobcats have now won five of six at Time Warner Cable Arena and had it not been for a one-point loss to Detroit a couple of weeks ago, they would be a perfect 6-0. As a result, Charlotte comes into tonight’s game having covered in four of their last five, which hasn’t happened since the start of the season.
In no danger of losing top spot in the Eastern Conference, the Miami Heat are clearly trying to rest their stars in their lead up to post season play. Lebron James, Dwayne Wade and Mario Chalmers have al missed the last two games through supposed injury, however, the Heat still managed to pick up a very surprising 88-86 victory in San Antonio on Sunday night, thanks to a game-winning three-pointer by Chris Bosh.
