Real Madrid vs Levante
Real Madrid will be riding a high after their 3-0 victory against Galatasaray on Wednesday when they host Levante at the Santiago Bernabeu on Saturday.
Los Blancos failed to capitalize on Barcelona dropping points last week. But Jose Mourinho’s men will certainly be sure to not falter at home. A victory will take them one step closer to finishing second, but anything less could allow Atletico to overtake their city rivals.
Levante spent most of the season in the European zone of the La Liga table. But recent results have seen Los Granotes drop to 10th in the table.
However, a win could spark a strong finish to the season as Levant only sits six points off the European marker.
Jose Mourinho will have a full squad to choose from on Saturday. With the Champions League tie seemingly decided and players set to miss the midweek clash, Mourinho could start his strongest possible lineup.
Quite possibly the biggest storyline in this match will be the addition of Iker Casillas in the Real Madrid squad . The captain has finally recovered and could start, although Diego Lopez shows no signs of giving up his spot.
Levante will be without David Navarro who will be serving a suspension. But the return of Sergio Ballesteros and others will give the visitors more of a fighting chance at the Bernabeu.
Though Real Madrid has only secured one clean sheet in their last eight La Liga matches, the hosts should cruise to victory with such a strong squad.
But if the last meeting between these two tells us anything, it is that Levante will fight and not go down easily.
I will be here to give you live coverage of this La Liga clash so make sure to meet back before kickoff for official lineups and pregame coverage.
