Carlton Blues vs Western Bulldogs

Carlton registered a disappointing 36 point loss to Fremantle last week and, with Port escaping with a victory over arch rivals Adelaide, Carlton’s effort was punished further as they now find themselves in ninth spot on the ladder, two wins from eighth placed Port.
It means that Carlton need to win every one of their remaining games to at least have a chance of making the finals
The Bulldogs have shown some much better form in recent weeks when compared to their efforts from earlier in the year.
A competitive effort against Hawthorn followed a victory over West Coast in round 18 and last week, another tenacious effort against Sydney saw the Dogs within 26 points at the final stage before their final 134 – 99 defeat.
They’ll be out to give Carlton plenty of trouble with their aggressive style of play and given that they’ve won two of the past three clashes, this game could be closer than the current market and line of -20.5 suggest.
Interestingly too, Western Bulldogs hold an advantage over Carlton in most of the season stats.
With some big surprises in the past few rounds, wonder if the Bulldogs can continue the trend here?
