WWE SummerSlam 2013

WWE Champion John Cena vs. Daniel Bryan.
CM Punk vs. Brock Lesnar.
World Heavyweight Champion Alberto Del Rio vs. Christian.
Kane vs. Bray Wyatt (Ring of Fire Match).
Dolph Ziggler and Kaitlyn vs. Big E Langston and Divas Champion AJ Lee.
Cody Rhodes vs. Damien Sandow.
Natalya vs. Brie Bella.
United States Champion Dean Ambrose vs. Rob Van Dam (Kickoff Match).

Emanating from Los Angeles, California, on Sunday SummerSlam promises to deliver incredible wrestling and intense drama. The main event will be an epic battle between WWE Champion John Cena and the popular wrestling technician Daniel Bryan.
Take a closer look at my predictions for WWE SummerSlam 2013:
U.S. Championship: Dean Ambrose vs. Rob Van Dam
The Shield recently had a highly acclaimed "kickoff match" against The Usos. The WWE may be hoping for more of the same from Dean Ambrose and RVD, as this SummerSlam kickoff match will begin an hour beforehand instead of a half-hour. Although RVD may steal the show, I predict Ambrose will leave SummerSlam as U.S. Champion.
Prediction: Dean Ambrose retains his title.
Natalya vs. Brie Bella
The build to this SummerSlam match has primarily taken place on the highly rated reality show "Total Divas." One of the themes of the show's early episodes has been Natalya's inability to get a push in the WWE, while also being asked to train the new Divas. Wrestling will meet reality at SummerSlam as I predict Natalya will keep putting over other Divas.
Prediction: Brie Bella wins.
Cody Rhodes vs. Damien Sandow
The best thing about this feud is that it is helping both wrestlers' WWE careers. Although Sandow won the Money in the Bank briefcase, Rhodes continues to get the best of him every week. At some point, Sandow will cash in his briefcase to become World Heavyweight Champion, but I predict that Rhodes will stay hot at SummerSlam.
Prediction: Cody Rhodes wins.
Dolph Ziggler and Kaitlyn vs. Big E Langston and AJ Lee
This WWE rivalry has an interesting dynamic because Dolph Ziggler is over more than Big E Langston is. But AJ Lee is over more than Kaitlyn is. The WWE clearly needs AJ to remain Divas Champion, but wrestling matches like this provide an opportunity for Kaitlyn to pick up wins. I predict Ziggler and Kaitlyn will do just that at SummerSlam.
Prediction: Dolph Ziggler and Kaitlyn win.
Kane vs. Bray Wyatt
Unfortunately, Kane may be at a point in his wrestling career where his main purpose is to pass the torch (pun fully intended) to a younger generation of WWE wrestlers. As a "Ring of Fire" match, this may be one of the best ways the WWE could make the Wyatts even hotter. Honestly, this is one of the easiest predictions for WWE SummerSlam.
Prediction: Bray Wyatt wins.
World Heavyweight Championship: Alberto Del Rio vs. Christian
When Dolph Ziggler began feuding with Big E Langston, Alberto Del Rio lost the only opponent with whom he had heat in the WWE. So we had an old-fashioned wrestling match on Smackdown to determine ADR's challenger at SummerSlam. But this isn't how things usually work in the WWE, so I predict that ADR will remain champion.
Prediction: Alberto Del Rio retains his title.
CM Punk vs. Brock Lesnar
This is one of the more difficult SummerSlam matches to predict. CM Punk only recently returned to the WWE, so it wouldn't make sense for him to get crushed by Brock Lesnar so soon. At the same time, the WWE could make Lesnar into a monster by having him destroy a top babyface wrestler. I'm giving Lesnar a slight edge.
Prediction: Brock Lesnar wins.
WWE Championship: John Cena vs. Daniel Bryan
Although face vs. face WWE wrestling matches are rare, they are often more memorable than typical face vs. heel matches. Bret Hart and The British Bulldog delivered one such SummerSlam classic and the same could happen in 2013. If the WWE listens to its fans as it claims it does, then Daniel Bryan winning should be an easy prediction.
Prediction: Daniel Bryan wins the title.
Randy Orton prediction
The WWE has been dropping numerous hints that Randy Orton will cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase at SummerSlam. While many WWE wrestling fans are assuming this will happen, it could be a bait-and-switch tactic. I'm not saying it won't happen, but, if it does, I predict Orton will not cash in successfully.
Prediction: Randy Orton will not become WWE Champion at SummerSlam.
