Hungary vs Estonia

Hungary will look to jump back into second place in Group D when it takes on Estonia on Tuesday.

The Hungarians held second place until they imploded on Friday against Romania in a 3-0 defeat in Bucharest. The Hungarians led Romanian by one point heading into the tilt but now find themselves two points out of second place and in serious danger of missing out on the World Cup's second round playoffs.

Fortunately the team has a big chance to take back second place with a win on Tuesday. Romania will be facing off against a desperate Turkish side that is sure to give them problems; that match could potentially end in a draw or loss for Romania and that would only be good news for Hungary.

Meanwhile, the Hungarians will face a weak Estonia side that would be completely eliminated from contention with a loss or draw in this game. Throw in the fact that Hungary is playing in Budapest and this match has all the makings of a victory for Hungary.

The one fair warning for the club will be the form of Estonia. The visitors nearly pulled off a shocking victory over the Netherlands on Friday; if not for 94th minute heroics from Robin Van Persie, Estonia would have nine points and would be just two points behind Hungary for third place in the group.

Hungary won 1-0 in the first encounter between these teams on October 12, 2012.
