Galatasaray striker Burak Yilmaz is ruled out of the Champions League quarterfinal second leg clash against Real Madrid through suspension.
Center back Dany Nounkeu also misses out after picking up a yellow card in the first leg, but Albert Riera and Selcuk Inan return to the side after being suspended for Saturday's win over Mersin Idman Yurdu.
Real Madrid duo Sergio Ramos and Xabi Alonso are both banned for the trip to the Turk Telekom Arena.
Boss Jose Mourinho has no fresh injury concerns and is likely to field his strongest possible line-up as he looks to build on a 3-0 advantage from the first leg.
- Galatasaray has won just once at the Turk Telekom Arena in the Champions League this season but has suffered only two defeats in its last 13 European home outings.
- The Turkish outfit's home record against Spanish opposition is W5, D2, L5, with the most recent victory being a 3-2 success against Real Madrid in the 2000-01 Champions League quarterfinal first leg.
- Galatasaray has scored fewer goals (11) and conceded more (12) than any other side still involved in the Champions League.
- Real Madrid is on a 12-match unbeaten run in all competitions (W10, D2).
- Los Blancos have progressed in 41 of 54 European ties in which they have won the first leg at home, including all seven when they initially triumphed 3-0.
- Cristiano Ronaldo (pictured, right) is the Champions League top scorer with nine goals in as many games.
Galatasaray striker Burak Yilmaz is also suspended after picking up his third yellow card in the same match.
Yilmaz was booked for diving after a second-half challenge by Ramos.
The absence of Yilmaz, the tournament's joint second-highest scorer alongside Barcelona star Lionel Messi, is a huge blow for Galatasaray as they aim to reach their first European Cup semi-final in 24 years.
The odds are stacked against the home side with nine-time winners Real the overwhelming favourites to reach a record 24th semi-final in Europe's premier club competition.
Real goalkeeper Diego Lopez insists the Spanish champions will not sit on their three-goal lead and will go to Istanbul on the attack.
"We must try to play as much as possible like we did in the first leg," said Lopez, who is currently keeping Spain international Iker Casillas out of the Real team.
"Galatasaray are a team who play well on the counter-attack, and they have very fast players up front who are always looking for depth. We have to keep calm in defence, keep everything tight and go for them.
"Our mentality will be to go there and score, and not hide behind the 3-0, because that would be a mistake."
Galatasaray's preparations have been overshadowed by coach Fatih Terim's dismissal during Saturday's 3-1 win against Mersin Idmanyurdu in the Turkish Super Lig.
Terim is facing a lengthy touchline ban after he was sent to the stands following a heated argument with the match officials.
