Phoenix Suns vs Houston Rockets

The Rockets had their four-game winning streak snapped on Saturday when they travelled to Denver and failed to keep pace with the Nuggets. The Rockets started the game hot, jumping out to an early 10-point lead, but some tired defense allowed the Nuggets to pour in 39 points in the second quarter and 38 in the third. Jeremy Lin had a strong game of 23 points and eight assists while the Rockets made 14 of 34 three pointers, but James Harden missed eight of his 10 shots on his way to a mediocre 14 points. With the loss, the Rockets fall to 43-34 on the season and drop behind by one game to the sixth-placed Warriors in the Western Conference.

Meanwhile, the Suns don't have to worry about all that playoffs because they are dead last in the Western Conference with no chance of improving. The Suns have lost 13 of their last 14 and will be looking to avoid a 10th straight loss after falling to the Hornets by 95-92 on Sunday. Markieff Morris led the team with 18 points while Luis Scola had 17 points and 10 rebounds, but the Suns were unable to pull out the victory after storming back from a late 16-point deficit. The loss makes it seven straight defeats at home which is actually worse than their recent road record where they've lost their last six.

In ATS trends, the Suns are 4-10 ATS in their last 14 games overall and 0-6 ATS in their last six road games, while the Rockets are 4-1 ATS in their last five games after scoring 100 points or more in their previous game and 1-4 ATS in their last five games following a double digit loss.

Head to head, the Suns are 20-7 ATS in the last 27 meetings and 17-5 ATS in the last 22 meetings in Houston.

This game is all about how many the Rockets win by, because let's face it; they're definitely winning this game. The Rockets blew away the Suns by 30 points in their last meeting and every sign indicates a similar outcome tonight but I actually think the Suns will get the backdoor cover tonight.
