Real Madrid vs Chelsea

The 2013 International Champions Cup will conclude Wednesday when Real Madrid takes on Chelsea for the championship match, and it's filled with x-factors ready to put their teams on top in Miami.

With both of these squads looking to improve on 2012-13 campaigns that could've been better in many respects, Real Madrid and Chelsea are coming off coaching changes and have every reason in the world to come out competing hard on Wednesday.

We know the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Eden Hazard and more will shine as they usually do, but it's the x-factors that decide matches like this.

Both teams deserve a place in the final, fighting off the likes of Everton, LA Galaxy, AC and Inter Milan.

A hot topic prior to kick off will be the reuniting of Jose Mourinho and Real Madrid and Carlo Ancelotti and Chelsea for the first time since their respective departures - adding spice to an otherwise regular pre-season game.

Mourinho left the Spanish giants on sour terms after reportedly falling out with top players Iker Casillas, Cristiano Ronaldo and Sergio Ramos.

The bitterness that still remains could add to the occasion and showcase a true derby for the American fans.

Ancelotti, in comparison with Mourinho, left Chelsea on good terms. Most feel he was prematurely fired after winning the league and FA Cup double with the Blues.

However fans and players alike still thank him for his time at Chelsea.

Real go into the game without Gareth Bale but still have enough to trouble Chelsea.

The likes of Ronaldo, Mesut Ozil and Isco will give the Blues back four a tough time.

While Sergio Ramos, Raphael Varane and Iker Casillas will feel confident of keeping the Chelsea strikeforce quiet.

After scoring five goals so far in the two games played, Real will look to continue their decent goalscoring form.

A potential downfall for them is that they have conceded two goals. They should be, therefore, working harder to rectify this.

Even though it's pre-season Ancelotti will be looking to continue the winning form and so should field a strong team.

So far in the competition Chelsea have scored four goals, one fewer than Madrid, without a striker scoring.

Therefore Mourinho will be looking to get a striker on the score sheet to be the focal point of his attack for the coming year.

Romelu Lukaku, scoring four goals in three matches earlier on Chelsea's pre-season, is the Blues' in form striker.

Since his move to Chelsea, Andre Schurrle has been injured almost all the time until he scored against AC Milan three days ago.

Mourinho may look to give the young German a run out to get him match fit.

In the previous two matches, in the competition have impressed and have never looked like being beaten.

Madrid will be a different story. Mourinho may use this opportunity to practice a defensive system for use against bigger clubs in the coming season.

This game promises to be an exciting spectacle and a taster of two of Europe’s biggest clubs.

Both clubs go into the game practically injury free so expected to see plenty of substitutions.

They also face off in good form so I can only see a draw as the outcome with a couple of goals for each team. Penalties will most likely be the deciding factor.
