LA Galaxy vs AC Milan

LA galaxy will take on AC Milan at the Sun Life Stadium in Miami to challenge for third place in the International Champions Cup.

Despite playing one of the greatest clubs in european football, Donovan is eager to make sure Galaxy do not get carried away and forget the bigger picture, which is MLS. The MLS season is in full swing and Donovan has urged his team-mates not to allow the Cup to distract them.

Galaxy come into the match having beaten Italian Champions Juventus 3-1 on Saturday, so should have every right to feel confident coming into Wednesday’s game, but Donovan has said Saturday’s game with FC Dallas is what’s keeping his attention.

“We’ve got to be smart because the real season starts again on Sunday,” he told the club’s official site.
“These are good games to get experience for the younger guys and to really enjoy the moment, but we have to keep our eye on the big picture.”

Massimiliano Allegri’s Milan have had varied success in their pre-season campaign, having beaten Valencia and Sao Paulo while losing to Premier League duo Manchester City and Chelsea.

The loss to Jose Mourinho’s charges meant that they missed out on reaching the final of the competition, but they have fared better than their San Siro rivals Inter and fellow Italian outfit Juventus, who will contest the seventh-place play-off.
