Columbus Blue Jackets vs Vancouver Canucks

The Blue Jackets look to continue their impressive season when they head into Vancouver to take on the Canucks.
The Blue Jackets were given virtually no chance to make any noise in the Western Conference this season especially after losing their captain and franchise player in the offseason as Rick Nash departed to New York. However, Columbus has shocked the NHL as they have been one of the league’s hottest teams over the last month as they have just a single regulation loss in their last 10 games and are just two points out of the final playoff spot in the West. Whi9le the possibility of a regression and collapse is still a very real possibility the Jackets have to be feeling confident at the moment and that is one aspect that can separate talent from hard work and right now the Jackets are working as hard as anyone in the league.
The Canucks continue to be a West power but something seems to be a little bit off in Vancouver this season and while they’ve won four in a row and are in a dead heat with the Wild for top spot in the Northwest they don’t seem to have the same swagger this season. The Canucks are still a dangerous team and could very well claim yet another division title or even make a charge at the Ducks and Blackhawks and with the way they’re playing at the moment that is a plausible course of action. Hosting Columbus obviously skews the line here and while the Jackets have been good lately they’re a bit overmatched. However, I think they can keep it close and as such I think it’s a low scoring affair giving us an opportunity to make some money here but playing on the under.
